Religion Notes:
Chapter 18-
1.) Jesus showed us how to love and serve God and one another.
2.) We love and serve God by doing our best to do the things he wants us to do.
3.) Prayer is listening and talking to God.
4.) We grow closer to God when we pray.
5.)Jesus prayed often.
6.) We can pray alone or with others.
7.) We can use our own words or the prayers of the Church.
8.) We share God’s love with others by doing good things.
Chapter 19-
1.) Mary said “yes” to God.
2.) Mary is the Mother of Jesus, God’s only son.
3.) Mary loved Jesus the way that our mothers love us.
4.) Jesus loved his mother and wanted us all to love her too.
5.) Mary is the best example of how to live our lives like Jesus.
6.) Mary is sometimes called “The Blessed Mother” or “Our Lady.”
7.) We celebrate Mary during May and on special feast days that remember the special times in her life.
8.) The saints are followers of Jesus who have died and now live forever with God.
9.) Saints loved God very much, were kind and fair, and shared God’s peace with others.
10.) The Feast of All Saints is on November 1.
